Ignite is a ministry geared toward students in grades 6-8 from central Iowa. We believe strongly in developing a deep-rooted relationship with Jesus and a love for others that motivates us to action. We exist to reach non-believing students, to connect every student with other Believers, to help them grow in their faith, and to challenge them to demonstrate their ministry and honor God with their life.

Ignite is led by Pastor Jesse Johannesen along with his wife Renee and a team of qualified, caring volunteer youth leaders. Jesse grew up in Des Moines and attended North Central University in Minneapolis, MN where he met Renee. They have been at New Hope Assembly since 2008.
